November 13, 2018 - St Kitts and Nevis

St Kitts and Nevis has signed a reciprocal visa-free agreement with Montenegro to abolish visas between the two countries. This agreement will allow citizens of both countries to enter each other’s territory for up to 90 days visa free.

The agreement was signed on November 12 between His Excellency Dr. Kevin Isaac, High Commissioner of St. Kitts and Nevis to the United Kingdom and Ambassador of Montenegro to the United Kingdom His Excellency Borislav Banović.

High Commissioner Isaac said the agreement reflects the sustained commitment of St Kitts and Nevis to broaden the Federation’s global network of partners, while opening viable ways for its citizens to develop personal, social and economic relationships internationally.

Montenegro, situated in the south Adriatic Sea, is known as the pearl of the Mediterranean and regarded as a rising destination to visit and to invest. In 2017, Montenegro generated EUR932.8M in visitor exports. In 2018, this is anticipated to grow by 7.9%, and the country is expected to attract 1,969,000 international tourist arrivals.

Citizens of St Kitts and Nevis currently enjoy visa-free access or visa on arrival to more than 150 nations and territories globally. St Kitts is the pioneer of the citizenship by investment program in the world, launching the innovative concept that attracts foreign investment to nations that offer the program while creating a direct, legal and fast route to obtaining a second citizenship and passport through investment for interested applicants..
