But what really happens, for instance, when a large global hotel brand decides to open a resort on a small island?
The project not only employs local labor at the time of construction but once operational, the service staff receive training that lets them compete in an international marketplace.
The creation of jobs for the resident population and the building of local talent is an area of major impact.
Many staff members who join at junior levels often progress quickly up the career ladder to managerial positions on account of their home-grown knowledge or language skills. Many are then offered the ability to move to other resorts and projects within the hotel chain’s wider global network.
Citizenship by Investment Programs open up a window to opportunity not just to the individuals acquiring passports, the projects they finance often give the local population more routes to further their personal growth while raising the quality of life for the entire community.
