Citizens of St Kitts and Nevis and Grenada will soon enjoy visa-on-arrival entry to Russia.
The Russian Federation’s Foreign Minister, H.E. Sergey Lavrov signed bilateral agreements with both the Caribbean island nations on the margins of the UN General Assembly held in New York late last month.
The visa-waiver agreement signed by H.E Lavrov and Foreign Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, the Honourable Mark Brantley, will allow citizens to travel for up to 90 days to each other’s countries without the need for a visa.
The agreement comes into force 60 days from the date of signing, which was September 21, 2017, just in time for travel during the end-of-year festive period.
H.E. Lavrov also signed a bilateral visa-waiver agreement with Grenada’s Foreign Minister H.E. Elvin Nimrod allowing citizens to travel for 90 days to each other’s countries without a visa. The agreement which was signed on September 20, 2017 will come into effect 60 days following notification of the completion of internal procedures necessary to implement the bilateral visa waiver.
The visa-waiver with Russia significantly strengthens the popularity of the citizenship by investment programs of both St Kitts and Nevis and Grenada. Investment in the St Kitts Program via a fund contribution starts at USD150,000 while investment via a fund contribution in the Grenada program starts at USD200,000. Grenada is currently the only Caribbean nation operating a Citizenship Investment Program to also offer visa-on-arrival travel to China, making it a powerful citizenship for business travel.
