Citizens of Antigua and Barbuda Have Until June 30, 2020 to Acquire New Biometric Passport

The Passport Office of Antigua and Barbuda has announced a 6-month extension of its deadline for all citizens to apply for and acquire the new Antigua and Barbuda biometric passport or ePassport.
Citizens will now have until 30th June 2020 to comply with the requirement to obtain the biometric passport.
Citizens of Antigua and Barbuda will only be able to use the new biometric/ ePassport to travel from 1st July 2020. All older machine-readable passports issued before April 2017 will no longer be valid as a travel document.
The Passport Office urges all Antigua and Barbuda citizens who acquired their passports before April 2017 to apply for their biometric passports before the new deadline of 30th June 2020 expires, to ensure they suffer no disruption in their ability to travel.
